Pie Dough 101 with Camille Cogswell
Join James Beard Award-winning Pastry Chef Camille Cogswell, known for her pie pop ups, in a class to demystify the flaky pastry. Camille will share the simple tips that help create her signature crust. Each person will make a batch of pie dough under her guidance and participants will end the class by sampling pies that Camille has baked and brainstorming the endless possibilities for fillings. Everyone will walk away with their own doughs, plus Camille's recipe, to use at home. All levels are welcome. Come be a part of the pie party!

BIO: Camille Cogswell is an award-winning Pastry Chef based in the Asheville area of NC. After growing up in WNC, she honed her culinary skills at the Culinary Institute of America, followed by restaurants in New York and Philadelphia, where she was recognized with a James Beard Award for “Rising Star Chef of the Year” in 2018, and was named a 2020 Food and Wine “Best New Chef,” among other accolades. Camille returned to the mountains of NC in 2021, where she’s become known for her regular pie popups. Camille plans to soon open Walnut Family Bakery, where she will offer wood-fired baked goods, classes, and events from her homestead in Marshall.
